WHO DISCOVERED MORALITY?

By New 10.

I have heard "that without God there can be no morality" a zillion times.
Where does our morality come from? Morality comes from the time that hunters
and gatherers gave up there nomadic life style to live in permanent
dwelling. Then they planted seeds and domesticated animals. In order for
them to live peacefully together, they thought up the precursor of the Ten
Commandments and the Golden rule. You don't steal my food and I don't steal
your food, you don't kill me and I will not kill you, you don't take my mate
and I won't takes yours. One does not have to be a genius to figure this
out.

It even predates this. Can you imagine going on a hunting trip with
your neighbor without morality. It dates from the first time humans
interacted with each other.

I'm suggesting that instead of hunters/gatherers moving to permanent
settlements being the impetus, it was in fact necessary even earlier
to give structure to those human interactions much as you described.

I was always told Jesus discovered morality, and If you dont agree
with that you're on your way to hell... happy trails.

Karl Rove was taught morality from Lee Atwater, who discovered it originally.
It was divinely revealed to conservative Republicans by God in 1980 at a Bob Evans restaurant a group of
RNC members from Baton Rouge were dining at, coded in the words of the song "Mothers, don't let your
babies grow up to be cowboys."
